JOHN FINCH

John Finch is an artist, songwriter and worship leader. From a very young age, his love for music and creativity marked the beginning of his musical journey, during which he discovered how his faith would influence his career and ministry.

With over a decade of experience leading congregations in worship, John Finch has a gentle gift for creating an atmosphere of peace and reverence in worship, inviting others to draw close to God through heartfelt and prayerful music. “Leading worship has become so much less about me…” Finch explains, “For so long, my identity was tied to my success and what I hoped to accomplish as an artist… I’ve experienced a lot of freedom by releasing myself from the pressure of comparison and the need for my life and career to look like someone else’s.” He adds, “I just hope to honor the Lord in everything I do.”

John leads worship at a wide range of national and international events while also serving as a worship leader in his local community. John currently resides in Mandeville, LA, with his family.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING:

“I am so grateful for both the excellence and prayerfulness of John Finch and his crew. They have played for several diocesan and parish events, and they always lift my soul. I highly recommend them anytime you are looking for beautiful music and leaders of praise and worship.”
— Most Rev. David L. Toups, S.Th.D. Bishop of the Diocese of Beaumont (Beaumont, TX)
“John has really become part of our ministry team at Chapelle. This is because he is a true worship leader, not a performer. Everything he does in his music ministry is guided by the Holy Spirit, and his prayerful and beautiful worship always leads those he is serving into a deeper encounter with Christ. It is never about him or about a performance. It is a joy to work with someone who I can trust that they understand the mission!”
— Emily Lannen, Campus Minister at Archbishop Chapelle Catholic High School (Kenner, LA)
“Our Lenten Mission led by John was one of the most well received by my parishioners. Months after the mission, people are still talking about it and asking when he is coming back to lead us in prayer. One of my first graders described the experience best, “Father, I wanted to cry I felt so close to Jesus.” John has a wonderful ability to lead people in true worship of the Lord. We can’t wait to have him back!”
— Fr. Jay Mello, Pastor at St. Michael and St. Joseph Parishes (Fall River, MA)
“John is a true gift to the church. He brings a wealth of knowledge to worship and liturgy. He knows how to worship in the appropriate setting in song but teaches that to our young people in a relatable way. John works easily with our team in preparing and giving retreats wanting only the best experience for our retreatants. We have witnessed him encourage others to find their own gifts and talents within music and has helped guide them in using them.”
— Tammy Mansveld, Director of Youth Ministry at St. Charles Catholic Church (Nederland, TX)
